Medical standard eligibility for SSC SI Recruitment 2024

Medical Examination Details:

  • Medical Examination Authority: Qualified candidates undergo medical examination by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any Grade-I Medical Officer from Central/State Govt. Hospital.
  • Review Medical Examination (RME): Candidates found unfit during Detailed Medical Examination (DME) undergo RME preferably the next day. Decision of Re-Medical Board/Review Medical Board is final with no appeal accepted.
  • Eye Sight Requirements: Minimum near vision should be N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye), while distant vision should be 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye) without correction. Right-handed individuals are assessed with the right eye as the better eye.
  • Physical Health Requirements: Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein, or squint in eyes, and should possess high color vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health, free from any physical defect likely to hinder job performance.
  • Obstacle Events: Finally selected candidates must pass seven obstacle events during training, including jumping over the Vertical Board, holding the rope on jumping from the Board, Tarzan Swing, Jumping on the Horizontal Board, Parallel Rope, Monkey Crawl, and Vertical Rope.
  • Tattoo Regulations: Tattoos allowed are limited to religious symbols, figures, and names as per Indian Army norms. They can only be placed on traditional sites like the inner aspect of the left forearm or dorsum of the hands, with size restrictions to less than ¼ of the respective body part (Elbow or Hand).

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2024:
